Two of my favorite novels (A Canticle for Leibowitz and A Cat’s Cradle) this spring have been apocalyptic. Which is not usually my sorta thing.
But anyway, it’s made my think that it is the most amusing irony that Christians are to look forward to the end of the world like little else, but at the exact same moment we are to fight its coming with every ounce of energy we have
I mean obviously, we fight for Christ’s coming. But also obviously, the end of the world is signaled and accompanied by a total moral and societal collapse. We fight that. Passionately, fiercely, faithfully, everyday.
And now, a song that starts off not that great but ends up being one I really like.
