of a simple phrase.
The LORD is my strength.
I’ve often thought of this verse simply as a comforting measure in time of need, the Lord is my strength. I lean upon Him in time of trouble. And this is true, this is exactly what it means.
But it means so much more. Just as we lean on Christ in time of need, we ride on His shoulders in time of triumph. And not only that, He is very literally our strength. In everything Christ acts so very much like our skeletal system, holding us upright, giving us form and function in everything we do.
Funny to read a verse for the billionth time and finally begin to understand it.
